Despite having never placed in his high school state championships, Patrick Durkin Cummins walked into the Penn State wrestling room and left five years later as a two-time All-American and NCAA runner-up. No stranger to hard work, the former U.S. National Team member is one of the most talked-about Light Heavyweight prospects in MMA.
Durkin debuted in Strikeforce after participating in the EA Sports/Sherdog fighter exchange in Rio de Janeiro, winning his first bout by TKO in the first round. After signing a non-exclusive multi-fight deal with ProElite, Durkin earned his second victory by a first round submission over Tasi Edwards in Honolulu Hawaii on January 21st, 2012.
